Game publisher EA has officially announced that its upcoming soccer game FIFA 17 will release on 29 September. FIFA 17 will be the first game in the series that makes use of Electronic Arts’ Frostbite engine, the same technology used for popular game titles like Battlefield 4 and Star Wars: Battlefront.
According to EA the new engine opens a world of new possibilities. So did the developer record the player movements of four world-class players, James Rodriguez of Real Madrid, Anthony Martial of Manchester United, Eden Hazard of Chelsea and Marco Reus of Borussia Dortmund, using motion capture techniques.
Gamers that order the game before the release date will be able to play eight matches with one of FIFA 17’s mascot players in the popular Ultimate Team mode. Aside the PC and next generation consoles, the game will also release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles.
It is expected that game developer EA will reveal more details about its latest soccer title during game expo E3, which takes place next week.
